General Lewis's Division. General Brian's North Carolina Brigade followed by General Keith's Brigade.

TURN 1: The Confederate Commander has initiative.

General Brian's North Carolina Brigade Moves forward. One of the Regiments didn't recieve orders and fails to move. as General Keith's Brigade moves to the left crossing behind The Inn.

General Sam issues orders for his Federal brigades to press forward.

TURN 2: The Confederate Commander has initiative.

General Brian's North Carolina Brigade seems to struggle with the intrepretation of simple orders. The 1st NC Infantry Move into line of battle while The Colonel of the 2nd NC Infantry stares into the forest and watches squirrels play.
General lets loose with a barrage of profanities and epitaphs.
General Keith's Brigade passes by heading behind the Inn on a route to the far woods.

General Sam's Division seems to grasp basic marching commands as both Brigades go into line of battle. General Bob's Brigade with General Steve's Pennsylvania Brigade in support.

Federal Brigades prepare for battle.

TURN 3: Confederate Commander has initiative.

General Lewis's "motivational" speech to the 2nd NC regiments Colonel has the desired effect.
The 1st NC Regiment Left obliques and the 2nd NC regiment comes forward in line of battle.
General Keith's Brigade continues to make for the woods. His orders from General Lewis is to use the woods as cover and try to hit the federal right flank.

General Sam issues orders for his troops to dress right dress. 1st Massachusetts Regiment Right oblique forward and 1st New York moves up to extend the line. The Pennsylvania Brigade moves forward past the house and consolidates their line behind General Bob's Brigade.

TURN 4: Federal Commander has initiative.

General Sam, content with his lines, gives the order for General Bob's Brigade to open fire.
The Massachusetts and new York men open fire on the North Carolinians. The 1st NC Regt takes some casualties and is shaken up by the volley. The battle continues with back and forth volleys the casualties begin to rise.

It is at this time that the camera batteries expire. It didn't stop the onslaught. General Keith's Brigade made it to the woods and formed up in line of battle. the marched to the edge of the woodline perpendicular to general Bob's Brigade. General Bob had tried to break off but his boys had their "blood up" and wouldn't let go. The Massachusetts regiment took a good licking and broke from the field.

The New Yorkers fell back and were soon supported by General Steve's Pennsylvania Brigade. The Action was hot and costly. Both sides ended up taking heavy casualties.

The high water mark of the battle was when General Steve, who was a gallant commander, came to close to the Line and was shot dead from his horse. The Moral of the brigade took a dive and the Federals retired from the field in good order.

The adjutant posted the casualty lists.

Federal Losses          7 stands
                                 General Steve

Confederate Losses   6 stands

Result in Confederate Victory.
